Work in Progress

house and garden haiku

Though I present these as haiku they are not haiku
though, if it please you, they may taste much the same.

fallen forsythia blossom --
a north-east wind
plays confetti games

through the fence
a sparrow garnering
-- so fast!

when the wind drops
grass cutters buzz softly
can you hear them?

in the blue sky
a rescued bee
returns to business

lazy cat
lazy poet
-- both snoozing

in the old blue saucer
a milky puddle
pink-tongued into a loud purr
