Stalking in the night

Dolly Cat's a'dreaming, wake her if you dare,
Have a care! Have a care! Have a care!
She's chasing savage rodents in a dream-wild world.
Don't you let her fool you, no matter how tight she's curled,
See that paw? It's clutching!
See that tail? It's twitching!
Dolly Cat's a'hunting, and her sleep is oh so light,
She's prowling and she's scowling, frightening the night.
Dolly Cat's a'dreaming, wake her if you dare,
Have a care! Have a care! Have a care!
